They Know That I Know

I just found out that Trader is watching & reading my blog and I’ll tell you why…

First off… “Hello to my former Trader cohorts!!”

I must say that finding out that they are reading me has encouraged me to be more active with it and in-turn, reach out to more dealerships who may find interesting tidbits useful in helping achieve their business goals.

In actual fact, I hope that if they are reading my blog, they along with other reps offering marketing products/services, that they take the time to learn about the industries they serve and take a more holistic approach to helping the dealers they contact.  By that I mean, don’t worry so much about hitting your targets with specific products/services by blindly selling the crap out of them.  Use what you know about each individual dealer and bring them products/services that move the actual needle for dealer.  Far too many times I sat with a rep where all they did was spew the fluff that they were told to say (and blindly 100% believe it) without addressing what the true needs of a dealership are.

That brings me to the fact that 90% of marketing products & services fall into the following four categories of assistance (and may crossover into more than one):

  • Save you TIME
  • Save you MONEY
  • Build your BRAND
  • Make you MONEY

If you don’t agree, please let me know another category that is prominent within your dealership’s business goals.
